The government of Bhagwant Mann has started the exercise of fulfilling the guarantees given during the assembly elections. After free electricity, now preparations have been started to make the employees happy. Punjab government is going to get orders for restoration of old pension from Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. The employees of Punjab state have been demanding to implement the old pension system.
During an election rally in Patiala on behalf of the Aam Aadmi Party before the assembly elections, AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal had given a guarantee to restore the old pension system of the employees. There is a continuous demand from the government to implement the old pension system on behalf of the employees. Several rounds of meetings have also been held with the employees regarding this. Now the state government has started the exercise to fulfill this demand. On behalf of the government, the officials have been asked to prepare drafts for seeking orders from the states of Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh to implement the old pension system.
Employees reminded of guarantee
The employees of Punjab, in their meeting with Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema on June 9, reminded them of the guarantee given by the government. After which the Finance Minister had assured the employee leaders that he would soon get orders from the states implementing the old pension system.
Meetings with the government will continue
On this important demand of the employees, the round of meetings with the employee leaders will continue. The Finance Minister has also said that the government will solve the demands of the employees on priority. Along with this, the round of meetings with the unions regarding their demands will continue.
