Would only star in Marvel movie if Greta Gerwig asked

While Kristen Stewart has had her moments in indie films as well as blockbusters, the actress revealed that she would “probably never” star in a Marvel movie unless a specific person asked her to.

THE Love lies, bleeding the star said in a recent episode of Not skinny but not fat podcast that making a superhero movie “actually feels like a fucking nightmare.”

When host Amanda Hirsch told Stewart she could see her playing Mary Jane “MJ” Watson from the Spider Man comically, the actress clarified that she “likes big films because I like people to watch them when I’m in them.”

But she added that “the system should change. You would have to put that much money and that much trust into one person… and that doesn’t happen. And so what ends up happening is this algorithmic, weird experience where you can’t feel personal about it at all.

“But maybe the world is changing,” Stewart continued, emphasizing that if barbie Director Greta Gerwig asked him to star in a Marvel movie: “I would.”

The Oscar-nominated actress is no stranger to big films as she helmed the hit film Dusk saga, in the role of Bella Swan, alongside Robert Pattinson’s Edward Cullen and Taylor Lautner’s Jacob Black.

Later in the interview with Hirsch, Stewart, who is also a great barbie fan, recalls being “moved” while watching Ryan Gosling’s “I’m Just Ken” performance at the 2024 Academy Awards earlier this month.
