Faridabad: With the onset of summer, the problem of electricity and water has increased. From high rise societies to sectors, people are battling with irregular water supply. Omaxe Forest Spa and Hills 2 Society on Surajkund Road has been facing water problem for about 4-5 years. People are forced to take water from tankers. The people of the society are spending lakhs of rupees every month on water. Despite complaints from builders and officials, the problem is not being resolved.Water problem in big societies
Omex Forest Spa and Hills-2 Society located on Surajkund Road are among the big societies of the district. Omaxe Forest Spa has 330 flats and Hills-2 has 226 flats. Water connection is same in both the societies. The problem of water has started as soon as the residents of the society got possession. Even after handover of water connection to FMDA, water is not getting as per demand. The residents here told that about 3.5 lakh liters of water is required, but only 1.5 to 2 lakh liters of water is being available. The situation gets worse in summer. Water is delivered every morning by tankers.

“12 lakhs being spent on tankers every month
Society residents said that due to lack of proper water supply from FMDA, people have to buy water from private tankers and drink it. About 12 lakh rupees are being spent on this every month. People said that 6 months ago Dr. Garima Mittal, Additional CEO of FMDA had come to the society. He had assured better drinking water supply to the people. On this basis the connection was also taken from FMDA, but the problem still remains as it is.

There is also a shortage in sectors
Apart from high rise societies, there is a problem of water in sectors. In Sector 19, the time of arrival of water from the corporation has been changed without giving any notice. Due to which people are suffering a lot. People told that water comes only for a few hours in the morning. In this case, the problem of water persists. A memorandum was also given to the corporation officials in this regard, on which the department has sought one week’s time to solve the problem.

There is a problem of water in the society. We are giving separate money for tankers even after paying maintenance expenses. Complained everywhere, but nothing happened. The problem should be resolved soon.
