A teenage boy and a woman were injured in two separate shootings in Chicago on the Northwest Side on Tuesday evening, according to police records.

According to police, the 16-year-old boy was in an alley on the 5800 block of West Walton Street at around 6:26 pm when an unidentified criminal drew a gun at him and opened fire on him.

Police records said she was grazed on her right arm and taken to West Suburban Hospital in good condition.

Officers then responded to an incident on the 4200 block of West Fullerton Avenue, where a 20-year-old woman was shot in the back while driving in a car at around 6:31 p.m. According to police, he was taken to Community First Hospital in good condition.

Both incidents are currently being investigated by the Chicago Police in their respective districts. The names of the victims have not been released.

No suspect has been arrested in both the firings.
