Komal was at the royal house on the night of April 15, 2021, when the news started pouring in During a shooting at the Indianapolis FedEx Ground Operations Facility where her mother started working a week ago.
“It was very shocking,” said Sahi, an immigration attorney in suburban Indianapolis. “There were a lot of Sikh workers in that godown. Listening to my mom, it felt like you make friends because you’re working with people like you. It was a community. Everyone knew someone who worked there.”
