According to local reports, the victim of an attempted carjacking in New Orleans shot two suspects.

The 48-year-old victim was approached by two 17-year-old suspects outside a design studio on Louisa Street just before 7 p.m. Thursday. Fox 8 New Orleans, citing a law enforcement source, reported that juvenile suspects allegedly held the victim at gunpoint while seeking to hand over their assets.

As NOLA.com initially reported, the victim threw her car keys at the suspects before ducking behind a nearby vehicle and shooting a suspect.

As Fox 8 reports, one suspect sustained a gunshot wound to the neck and the second suspect was taken to Tulane Medical Center, where officers recovered two of his guns, one of which was believed to be stolen.
