Former President Donald Trump’s potential competitors for the 2024 Republican nomination are gathering in Las Vegas this weekend – in what is seen as the GOP’s first major powwow in the race for the White House.

A handful of high-profile Republicans — including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis — are set to speak at the annual Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) leadership meeting just days after Trump, 76, launched his 2024 candidacy at Mar-a-Lago.

DeSantis, 44, former Vice President Mike Pence, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley are all scheduled to address the rally on Friday and Saturday.

The senses. Ted Cruz from Texas, Rick Scott from Florida and Tim Scott from South Carolina also plan to be part of the weekend lineup.

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan and former New Jersey Governor and 2016 presidential candidate Chris Christie kicked off the annual meeting Thursday night at the Venetian Hotel Resort and Casino.

On the same day, the RJC announced that Trump himself would also address the Saturday morning meeting via satellite.

Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin was among those expected to attend but pulled out at the last minute after the deadly shooting at the University of Virginia on November 13.

All of the event’s headliners have been touted as potential challengers to Trump, with DeSantis – who was re-elected to lead the Sunshine State by landslide last week – seen as the best hope of thwarting a third consecutive Republican nomination for the 45th president.

The annual RJC meeting will draw top donors, officials and GOP leaders from across the country at a time when several big-budget consolidators have already signaled they won’t support Trump’s bid for a second, nonconsecutive term — and favor rather the GOP rise of stars like DeSantis.

So far, no Republican besides Trump has officially thrown his hat in the ring.

But the former president, seemingly aware he could face an uphill battle against DeSantis or Youngkin, has lashed out at both governors on his Truth Social platform in recent days.

“Now that the election in Florida is over and everything has gone pretty well, shouldn’t it be said that in 2020 I got 1.1 million more votes in Florida than Ron D did got this year, 5.7 million to 4.6 million? I was just asking?” Trump wrote on Nov. 10.

A day later, he oddly said Youngkin’s last name “Sounds Chinese” and claimed the Virginian “couldn’t have won without me” last year.
