Trudeau’s data manipulation skills leave Cuomo in the dust
The Canadian Liberal government hides its dismal abortion statistics. The silence is deafening. Every year when abortion numbers are announced, the mainstream media gives little or no opinion. There was no reaction when the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) released its 2020 data last week, citing a continued decline.
Perhaps the data is so woefully lacking that the critics are at a loss for words. Unlike hospitals, which are also publicly funded, private clinics are not required by law to publish the number of abortions performed. Clinics seem to be getting more and more blatant about non-reporting, making an accurate tally increasingly impossible.
How misleading are these statistics? Just to get a sense of the seriousness of the situation, consider the report produced by Patricia Maloney which revealed that CIHI underestimated 18,278 abortions performed in 2019 in Ontario alone. Thanks to the Freedom of Information Act (FOI), she was able to find these numbers based on data from Ontario doctors. billing codes.
“Researching data on abortion in Canada is a loaded issue,” Maloney said. Maloney is a pro-life researcher who investigated abortion in Canada on her website “Run with life” since 2010.
You see, national abortion figures are only collected by the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI). It is difficult to produce precise statistics on abortion because no ministry or federal council monitors them. Also, private clinics such as Planned Parenthood are not legally required to report the number of abortions performed to CIHI.
CIHI also found discrepancies in abortion statistics compared to data from Quebec’s RAMQ billing system. Documents show that between 2015 and 2017, there were 20% more abortions in the province than in the data collected by CIHI. These figures exclude medical abortions and Quebec women who traveled outside the province to have an abortion.
Propaganda media such as CTV News used CIHI data to argue that abortions in Canada are steadily declining, helping Trudeau further cement his lies.
We all remember how amazingly and quickly humiliated New York Governor Andrew Cuomo was because of pandemic politics. Outrage over Cuomo’s decision to hide nursing home death data had swept across New York state. Cuomo has substantially and deliberately misrepresented the pandemic’s toll on nursing home patients in New York City, according to court rulings, leaks and investigations.
Cuomo’s fall from grace is a cautionary tale of the dangers of data tampering. Leaders should not fear retaliation for the mistakes they have made. While a lie can go around the world before the truth has a chance to be heard, a lie will not survive.
Media began to report on Trudeau’s lies about abortion data. Trudeau, has nothing left to back up his assertions. Trudeau’s vanity has faded among Canadians. Even some Trudeau loyalists began to publicly criticize the prime minister. All things considered, just as Cuomo suffered karmic punishment, Trudeau would soon be caught for all the deception he perpetrated on honest Canadians.
