Speaking about Uttarakhand, Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said that we have started ropeway projects at Badri, Kedar, Hemkund, Nainital etc. We have made provision in our budget to build ropeways at 64 places in the country. There will be no pollution from ropeway and it will also increase tourism. Speaking on All Weather Road, Gadkari said that some people had gone to the court to protest against the cutting down of trees for the road. Plant the tree in another place around there and also take care of it.

Nitin Gadkari reiterated here that the journey from Delhi-Dehradun, Delhi-Haridwar is to be reduced to two and a half hours and work on it is going on fast. “In the next few years, we will be able to control vehicle pollution,” he said. 15 year old cars will go to junk. This will also reduce the cost of new vehicles and reduce pollution with the advent of new technology. He said that water transport is slowly becoming popular on Ganga Yamuna.
