Traumatic accident in Punjab: Seven members of the same family burnt alive, a huge fire broke out in the hut

A painful accident happened on Wednesday on Tibba Road in Ludhiana, Punjab. Seven people were burnt alive due to the fire in the hut here. All the deceased belong to the same family.
Suddenly there was a scream after a huge fire. Local people tried to save and fire tenders also arrived but by the time the fire was brought under control, all the seven members of the family were burnt alive. Assistant Commissioner of Police (East) Ludhiana, Surinder Singh said they were migrant laborers and were sleeping in their hut near the municipality garbage dump yard on Tibba Road here. SHO of Tibba police station Ranbir Singh has identified the victims as the couple and their five children.
Suresh Saini (55), Roshni Devi (50), Rakhi Kumari (15), Manisha Kumari (10), Chanda Kumari (08), Geeta Kumari (06), Sunny (02) have died. At the same time, only Rajesh Kumar is alive in the accident. All of them were residents of Samastipur in Bihar. After having dinner, the family slept at eight o’clock in the night.
Cause of fire being told to short circuit
Initially short circuit is believed to be the cause of the fire. It is believed that the fire broke out due to a short circuit and took away the entire family. Ludhiana DC Surbhi Malik and Police Commissioner Kaustab Sharma also reached the spot. Police and forensic team are engaged in the investigation.
