Investing.com – Saudi Arabian stocks were higher after Sunday’s close as sector gains led the stock higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the gained 0.16% to hit a new 1-month high.
The session’s best performer was Fawaz Abdulaziz AlHokair Company (TADAWUL:), which rose 9.98% or 1.60 points to trade at 17.64 at the close. Meanwhile, Al Hokair Group (TADAWUL:) added 7.65% or 1.76 points to end at 24.76 and Halwani Bros (TADAWUL:) was up 7.64% or 4.10 points at 57.80 late in the session.
The worst performers of the session were Food Co development work (TADAWUL:), which fell 3.27% or 5.60 points to trade at 165.80 at the close. International Company for Water and Power Projects (ACWA Power) (TADAWUL:) fell 3.08% or 4.80 points to end at 150.80 and Tissama Advertising&Public Relations (TADAWUL:) fell 2.80% or 2.70 points to 93.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered rising stocks on the Saudi Arabian Stock Exchange from 124 to 118 and 20 unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery fell 2.01% or 1.63 to $79.38 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was unchanged at 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $86.40 a barrel, while February gold futures fell 0.10% or 2.00 to trade at $1,928.00 per troy ounce.
EUR/SAR fell 0.18% to 4.08, while USD/SAR was unchanged 0.01% to 3.75.
US dollar index futures rose 0.10% to 101.74.
