There was an explosion in ESP late Friday night at the thermal plant located in Lehra Mohabbat, Bathinda. Due to this, the feet of the plant worker Omkar Singh got burnt while a laborer got injured. After the incident, senior officials of the thermal plant reached the spot and an emergency meeting of officials was held on Saturday. According to the information, fly ash ESP work was going on in Lehra Mohabbat Thermal Plant. During this, employee Omkar Singh had come to see the site with a laborer with him. Suddenly there was an explosion. In this, Omkar’s feet got burnt while the laborer got injured. After the incident, both were taken to a nearby hospital. After the incident, Madan Singh Dhiman, Chief Engineer of Thermal Plant reached the spot along with other officers. After this incident, two units of the thermal plant have been closed. Due to which the power crisis deepened in the nearby area on Saturday. On Saturday morning, senior officials of the thermal plant called an emergency meeting. When contacted Madan Singh Dhiman, Chief Engineer of Thermal Plant, he said that he is currently busy in the meeting.
