Police are still piecing together evidence of a Sunday night shooting in western Washington that left one person dead and three others injured.

According to police reports, officers were called to 1807 McCormick Avenue at 10:48 p.m. The report indicated that an ex-boyfriend of one of the women who lives at that address showed up with a gun. fire.

While police responded, the father-in-law of the house disarmed the shooter and the man left the house. Police began searching for the man, but about an hour later authorities received a report that he had returned to the McCormick Avenue home and started shooting.

Police took the suspect into custody approximately six minutes later.

Washington police said one person was killed at the scene and three others were injured, including the suspected shooter. Authorities have so far refused to release further details.
