This will continue until the situation returns to normal. The police commissioner has appealed to the people not to pay attention to the rumors. Investigation of Jahangirpuri riots handed over to Crime Branch
The investigation into Friday’s riots in Jahangirpuri has been handed over to the Crime Branch of Delhi Police. The entire case will now be investigated by the Crime Branch on the orders of Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana. A SIT has been formed for this, comprising one DCP, five ACPs and ten inspectors. The team will investigate the whole matter from different angles and try to find out what was the conspiracy behind the riots. According to the Delhi Police, the incident took place on Saturday evening during a procession marking Hanuman’s birth anniversary. Meanwhile, people from two communities clashed with each other. Both were stoned and shot. A total of 8 policemen and one civilian were injured in the incident. All of them were treated at Babu Jagjivan Ram Hospital. A sub-inspector was shot dead in the incident and has been discharged from the hospital after treatment. Delhi Police has registered a case under sections 147/148/149/186/353/332/333/427/436/307/120B and 27 Arms Act of IPC in this regard. Police have arrested 23 accused while two minors have also been arrested.
Call details will be checked
Several leaders in the case have accused him of conspiracy and demanded a thorough investigation into the whole matter. Due to this, Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana has handed over the investigation of the entire case to the Crime Branch. A special investigation team of the crime branch has been formed which will look into the whole matter. The team will find out that no one is involved in this whole conspiracy. The team has been asked to check the call details of the arrested accused, identify the accused through facial recognition system, collect information about the people present there through dump data etc.

The case also alleges that the attack was carried out by people of Bangladeshi origin. With this in mind, the Crime Branch team will investigate. The police will try to find out how the whole conspiracy was hatched in this case and how the whole incident was carried out here.
