NIA raids Kashmir Valley in terror funding and terror recruitment case TOU

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday conducted raids in various parts of the Kashmir Valley in connection with terror funding and recruitment of terrorists. The NIA seized mobile phones, pen drives, laptops and some documents during the raid. This is the third raid by the NIA in the Kashmir Valley in the past one week.

This morning, the NIA, with the help of Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF personnel, raided the hideouts of people associated with terrorist and separatist networks in different parts of the Kashmir Valley. The houses of Mushtaq Ahmed Butt in New Fatehpora Colony Baramulla and Ali Mohammad Butt in Muradpora Shopian have been searched, officials said. Mushtaq Ahmed is working in the education department and he is one of the active activists of Jamaat-e-Islami. In addition, he has been involved in raising funds for terrorist organizations and in promoting terrorist and jihadi activities.

Ali Mohammed Butt is also considered close to Jamaat-e-Islami. Apart from recruiting new boys for terrorist activities in Kashmir, he used to collect donations but he was also active in organizing anti-national demonstrations in Kashmir. NIA officials have also questioned the relatives of Mushtaq Ahmed Butt and Ali Mohammad Butt during a search of their homes.

Officials said that the places whose people have been raided today. The NIA has already registered a case against him in Delhi.
