Nanny tries to get toddlers to safety before speeding car hits all three, Texas cops say

A nanny was dragging toddlers across a street in a shopping cart when a car traveling at high speed hit them, Texas officials and media said.

THE a woman and two young children were beaten in Katy on the night of Saturday, March 30, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

The toddlers were taken to the hospital in critical condition and the woman had “a possible fracture,” Gonzalez said, adding that the driver remained at the scene.

Investigators stated that nanny tried to push the cart safe, which likely helped minimize the damage suffered, KHOU reported.

Officials had no comment on the extent of toddler injuries but said they are expected to survive, according to KTRK.

Gonzalez did not say whether the driver would face charges.

Katy is about a 30-mile drive west of Houston.
