Murder in land dispute: Sister suffered heavy speaking in brother’s quarrel, elder brother beat him to death
Due to the land dispute, the elder brother has killed the sister (teacher) who came from Mohali to the head with a stick. There was a land dispute between elder and younger brother. Both brothers were fighting in the house. Then the sister tried to explain. Enraged, the elder brother killed his sister. On the other hand, the police station Sadar has started further investigation by registering a case against the accused brother and sister-in-law. The case is of Ojhanwali village of Fazilka, Punjab.
Victim’s father Jarnail Singh told the police that there is a land dispute going on with his elder son Baljinder Singh. Baljinder often fights with them. His younger son Shinder Singh has installed a green fodder cutting machine in the courtyard of the house. Baljinder’s wife Pooja Rani was quarreling with Shinder over that machine. When Baljinder returned home after working from the farm, his wife provoked him against Shinder.
After this a fight broke out between Baljinder and Shinder. Baljinder started breaking a wall built in the house. During that time sister Praveen Kaur, who came to her maternal home from Mohali, tried to convince the elder brother that in anger Baljinder hit the sister on the head with a knife. Praveen was seriously injured, immediately rushed to the local hospital. But the doctor declared him dead.
Jarnail told that his daughter Praveen is a teacher in a private school in Mohali. Came to the maternal home with her two children during the holidays. On the other hand, DSP (countryside) Jasveer Singh Pannu says that investigation has been started in the matter. The police have registered a case against the accused Baljinder Singh and Pooja Rani by recording the statement of the victim’s family. Both the accused are absconding, after conducting post-mortem the body has been handed over to the relatives.
