A Texas woman and her baby died after running into a burning house to help him, firefighters said.
THE a fire broke out in a house on the north side of Houston early in the morning of Saturday, February 3, according to the Houston Fire Department.

“I heard banging on the door and kids screaming for help,” neighbor Savannah Hernandez told the station. “They’re little kids and you never know what could happen.” They were barefoot. »
Mother first saved two older children from the home, who authorities said were both under the age of 10, KTRK reported. She then returned to the house to get her 1-year-old son, but never came out, firefighters said.
She and the baby died in the fire, according to firefighters.
“They said she didn’t survive. The baby was in her arms,” the mother’s sister told KTRK.
Firefighters put out the blaze, but photos from the scene showed few remains of the house but charred wreckage.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, authorities said.
