Metaphysical today announced its partnership with entertainment and sports agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA) to develop generative AI tools and services for global talent.

Thanks to this partnership, Metaphysic and AAC will work together to create offers for artists using AI in film, television and entertainment.

Metaphysic is in the business of “deep fake”, where it creates artificial versions of celebrities and others using AI techniques. Metaphysic aims its synthetic media to connect influencers and their audiences in new ways – including via deep fake videos – that are hyper-realistic, ethically created and uniquely compelling.

Metaphysic made history in 2022 with “America’s Got Talent,” bringing hyper-realistic generative AI content to national television audiences. The team used AI to create photorealistic avatars of the king of rock and roll, Elvis Presley, who delivered on-stage musical performances that looked perfectly real.

“Metaphysic is an industry leader in using generative AI and machine learning to create Hollywood-quality, photorealistic content. Combined with its ethical approach and thought leadership, it opens up an incredible opportunity for the entertainment industry and beyond,” said Joanna Popper, Chief.
metaverse officer at CAA, in a statement. “Artificial Intelligence will have a transformative impact on content creation and intellectual property. CAA has always been at the forefront of new technological frontiers and we are excited to work with Metaphysic to bring the most exciting opportunities to our customers and industry.

A testament to its technical and creative excellence, Metaphysic has been named the sole AI provider for the highly anticipated big movie here, produced by Miramax and directed by Robert Zemeckis. Starring Tom Hanks and Robin Wright, this adaptation of Richard McGuire’s graphic novel
reunites the original Oscar-winning team behind “Forrest Gump,” featuring Paul Bettany and Kelly Reilly.

In an industry first, here incorporates hyper-realistic AI-generated face replacements and aging into the very fabric of its storytelling.

“I’ve always been drawn to technology that helps me tell a story. With HERE, the film simply wouldn’t work without our actors seamlessly transforming into younger versions of themselves. Metaphysic’s AI tools do just that, in a way that was previously impossible! After testing every face replacement and de-aging technology available today, Metaphysic is clearly the global leader in quality AI content and the perfect choice for this incredibly empowering and moving film,” said Robert Zemeckis, in a statement.

Building on its cutting-edge generative AI technology for Hollywood, Metaphysic announces its new product, Metaphysic Live. Currently being deployed in production on here, Metaphysic’s new tool creates high-resolution photorealistic facewaps and weathering effects in addition to live, real-time actor performances without the need for further compositing or visual effects work. Streaming photorealistic AI-generated content that matches real-world scenes at up to 30 frames per second is a dramatic advancement in technology that will be key to creating immersive augmented reality/virtual reality experiences, game and entertainment.

Kevin Baillie, production visual effects supervisor on here says, “It’s amazing to see Metaphysic’s AI-generated content seamlessly integrated into a live on-set shoot! Actors can even use the technology as a “mirror of youth” – testing out actor choices for their younger ones in real time. This feedback loop and youthful performance is absolutely essential to achieving an authentic and delicious result.

“Metaphysics is rapidly expanding the creative horizons of Hollywood and beyond. Our tools cost
efficient, cinematic quality and scalable – we are compelled to reinvent the way visual media is produced,”
said Thomas Graham, CEO of Metaphysic, in a statement. “With the support of CAA and working on projects like hereMetaphysic demonstrates the transformative power of hyperrealistic AI to shape the future of entertainment and eventually help people create immersive photorealistic AI-powered imagery.
content while they own and control their data.

To build on its incredible technical offering, Metaphysic is currently recruiting additional talent to bolster its machine learning, visual effects, and product innovation teams. Qualified candidates are encouraged to contact Metaphysic.

Metaphysic has appointed creative team leads, co-founder Chris Ume as AI supervisor and recently hired chief innovation officer Jo Plaete – as visual effects supervisor for here.
