Lea Michele pregnant with her second child

Leah Michele is pregnant with her second child. THE Joy and the Broadway star announced she was expecting again with a series of maternity photos posted to Instagram on Wednesday.

“Mom, Dad and Ever are thrilled,” Michele wrote.

Michele married her husband Zandy Reich in 2019. The couple welcomed their first child, son Ever, now three, in 2020.

Michele completed her final performance as Funny girl‘s Fanny Brice — after replacing Beanie Feldstein in July 2022 — last September. The Broadway revival initially debuted to mixed reviews, with many criticizing Feldstein’s performance. During Michele’s run, producers were would have capable of recovering capitalization costs, depending on The New York Times, the show running for nearly 600 performances at the August Wilson Theater in New York.

Michele received seven standing ovations during her final performance. “Thank you for all the love and support,” Michele wrote on Instagram after the show ended. “It was truly the most extraordinary year and chapter of my life. I can’t wait for what’s next.

Throughout the Broadway run, fans were particularly invested in Michele’s role as Fanny Brice because the actress Joy the character, Rachel Berry, also had a personal affinity for the role.

Joy, created by Ryan Murphy, aired from 2009 to 2015 on Fox. Michele’s Rachel performed “Don’t Rain On My Parade” several times throughout the show, as well as a beloved cover of “My Man,” the latter of which she performed during the encore of her latest show on Broadway.
