Berlin has announced the international jury for the 74th Berlin International Film Festival, which will take place from February 15 to 25.
The 2024 jury will include American director Brady Corbet (Vox Lux), Hong Kong filmmaker Ann Hui (Summer snow), Christian Petzold, regular at the Berlinale (A fire, Ondine), Spanish director Albert Serra (Pacification), Italian actress Jasmine Trinca (The son’s room) and the Ukrainian writer Oksana Zabuzhko.
Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o (12 years of slavery, Black Panther) will chair the International Jury.
The jury, made up of four women and three men, will review the competing titles at this year’s Berlinale and select the 2024 festival winners, including the Golden Bear for Best Film. The winners of the 74th Berlinale will be announced live at a gala ceremony in Berlin on Saturday February 24.
The Berlinale 2024 will begin on February 15 with the world premiere and competition screening of Little things like these from director Tim Mielants. Stars of Irish drama Oppenheimer Oscar nominee Cillian Murphy stars in a period drama set in 1980s Ireland that centers on abuses by the Catholic Church.
This year’s Berlin Film Festival lineup also includes films starring Rooney Mara, Isabelle Huppert, Renate Reinsve, Sebastian Stan and Gael Garcia Bernal.
