Class Description
Working under the guidance of a Coordinator, Technical Training, independently provide instruction focusing on machinery and equipment; basic shop and construction skills; general mechanical subjects; blueprints and schematics; mechanical and fluid power; plumbing/piping and related equipment; HVAC topics; troubleshooting; and related systems/subjects. Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate’s education level and/or years of experience in the field. Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale. Minimum Requirements High school diploma/GED and five years’ experience in commercial or industrial mechanical fields. Associate degree and/or completion of an approved apprenticeship program preferred. Teaching/training experience in commercial/industrial/facility maintenance preferred. Current credentials related to any of the following areas preferred: commercial/industrial/facility maintenance, contracting, safety, construction, environmental, HVAC, and stationary engineering. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, especially Word, Excel and Power Point. Class Specific Essential Duties
