India needs to be fully prepared for war in future: Rajnath Singh TOU

Dehradun, Jun 13 (PTI) Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday said India needs to be fully prepared for future war and called for better coordination between the armed forces and the civil administration. During his address at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie, Singh also referred to the ongoing war in Ukraine and emphasized that security challenges have become more complex in the wake of cyber and proxy wars.

He said India believes in peace and “waging war is not part of our nature”.

The Defense Minister said at the 28th Joint Civil-Military Training Program of the IAS Academy that if India is provoked to war, the attacking country will suffer as India fights not on the strength of its weapons but with its morale.

“As you know, keeping in mind the conspiracies of our neighbours, one in particular, India needs to prepare itself for full-fledged war in future,” Singh said. I am confident that through better coordination and coordination between the armed forces and the civil administration, we can strengthen our future preparedness for such a war.”

He said that at present the armed forces alone cannot meet the security challenges.

“The need of the hour is better coordination between various organs of the administration and the armed forces,” the Defense Minister said.

Referring to cyber and proxy warfare, he said that through cyber attacks, one country can badly affect the economy, banking system and electoral process of another country.
