Henry Cavill talks openly about filming intimate scenes in movies and TV shows, and honestly, he’s “not a fan of it.”
THE For Argy the star made a recent appearance on Happy Sad Confused podcast with director Matthew Vaughn and admitted that he feels these vulnerable on-screen moments should be left to “the human imagination.”
“I don’t understand them, I’m not a fan,” Cavill said of the sex scenes. “I think there are circumstances where a sex scene is actually beneficial to a film, rather than just to the audience, but I think sometimes they’re overused these days.”

Although Cavill noted that there are times when “sex scenes can be great in a movie and can really help with the storytelling,” he’s just not convinced it’s as often as they are currently used in projects.
“Most of the time, human imagination will get the better of it,” says the Enola Holmes star added. “So it can be a bit of a cop-out if a TV show or a movie is just full of bodies spinning and you’re like, ‘Okay, but what does that do to us other than the idea of, oh naked person?’ , great.'”
Vaughn also shared a similar perspective when it comes to filming intimate scenes.
