Let’s prepare for ruuuuuumble!
In one corner we have legendary actor George Clooney, who can be seen in the upcoming crime film Wolves next month on Apple TV+.
Before we go any further, it should be noted that George’s claims are not supported by any existing interviews currently being published. It is possible that he is referring to a conversation that Quentin participated in for THE 2 bears, 1 cave podcast back in 2022 — but the director never mentioned George in that episode, so.
Okay, let’s get to the point: “Quentin has been talking some crap about me recently, so I’m a little irritated with him,” George told GQ.
“He did an interview where he named movie stars and he talked about [Brad Pitt]and somebody else, and then this guy says, “What about George?”
“He goes, he’s not a movie star. And then he literally said something like, ‘Name me a movie from the millennium.'”
“And I was like, ‘Since the millennium? That’s kind of my whole fucking career,’” George added. “So now I was like, okay, man, fuck you. I don’t mind giving him shit. He gave me shit.”
A word about George’s acting career of late: if Quentin did say these things, he’s kind of right! Over the last decade, George has acted much less than he used to. His last major film role, in 2022, Ticket to Paradisewas his first leading role in a film that actually received a wide theatrical release since 2016. Money Monster.
In fact, he’s more of a director these days — starting in the 2020s. The Midnight Sky (in which he also starred) and that of 2021 The tender bar to last year The boys in the boat.
Anyway, something tells me we haven’t heard anything about this yet, either of us. We’ll see!
