Gas prices in New York increased compared to last week: see how much here

Gas prices in the state rose for the second week in a row and averaged $3.16 per gallon on Monday, up from last week’s price of $3.15 per gallon. according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

The average price of fuel in the state has fallen about 4 cents since last month. Statewide gas prices over the past year have been as low as $3.11 on January 22, 2024, and as high as $3.86 on August 14, 2023, according to the EIA.

A year ago, the average price of gasoline in New York was 9 percent higher, at $3.46 per gallon.

The average gas price in the United States last week was $3.14, making prices in the state about 0.6% higher than the national average. The national average gas price is up from last week’s average of $3.1 per gallon.
