Chappell Roan criticized for VMAs rehearsal photo

Last week, Chappell Roan shocked thousands of fans when she suddenly cancelled two dates of his European tour and rescheduled another at incredibly short notice.

Needless to say, ticket holders were both shocked and saddened by the last-minute announcement, especially as many had booked transport and accommodation to attend the shows, which could not be refunded with just a few days’ notice.

And on Tuesday, the star sparked a furor when she shared a photo of herself doing just that – on the date of what should have been her Paris show.

Some, however, have defended Chappell, insisting that choosing the VMAs over her pre-arranged concerts would have been a no-brainer for her career.

Chappell was previously accused of being “passive-aggressive” when she responded to her fans’ disappointment in an Instagram comment over the weekend. She wrote at the time: “I’m so sorry :,( I explained why I cancelled and I know it sucks but I hope people can understand <3 I promise I'll be back xoxo"

And this whole situation comes after Chappell divided her fans when she made two different statements in an attempt to set boundaries with her fans, telling them it was “creepy” when they approached her in public and asked for photos.
