Court records indicate that Xiong pleaded guilty to a single count of threatening the president and vice president, and that he admitted that he “intended to kill people in power, including President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and others, and that if he had not been arrested by law enforcement, he would have continued traveling to carry out his plan.

Sentencing was set for June 18.

Xiong faces up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000, and agreed to forfeit ownership of the rifle and ammunition seized during his arrest, according to the plea agreement filed in the affair.
