Massive reorganization in Air India Top Management
New Delhi, April 15
Air India Chairman N Chandrasekaran on Friday undertook a major overhaul of the recently acquired airline’s top management, with Nipun Agarwal as Chief Commercial Officer and Suresh Dutt Tripathi as Chief Human Resources Officer.
Agarwal, who is the Senior Vice President at Tata Sons, replaces Air India veteran Meenakshi Malik, while Tripathi, who was the Vice President for Human Resources at Tata Steel from 2012 to 2021, replaces Amrita Sharan of AI. Tata Sons Chairman Chandrasekaran has issued orders to this effect.
Malik and Sharan were appointed as advisors to the Air India CEO on Friday, the company said in a statement. As the Tata Group has not yet appointed an Air India CEO, Malik and Sharan will now be Chandrasekaran’s advisers.
