BMW Motorrad has released 3 new bikes

Luxury, performance motorcycle brand BMW Motorrad has released three new 2022-model-year bikes. All are 2-cylinder, 900cc class and priced in the range of 12-13 lakh

The new F850 GS and F850 GS Adventure are back with better devices and more features compared to previous versions.

The new F850 GS will be available with a style rally package on the ‘Pro’ profile. According to BMW Motorrad, the profile offers more power and torque, with better off-road capability and more distinctive touring features.

BMW F850GS

The new F 850 GS Adventure, on the other hand, is designed for long trips and lands in demand. With TFT display and BMW Motorrad Connected, USB charge port as well as better standard equipment like ABS Pro and DTC, this dual sport motorcycle is made even better for longer trips.

Adventure is available on the ‘Pro’ profile with a style rally or style triple block package for Indian buyers.

The design with iconic features like asymmetrical headlight and GS-distinctive flyline makes it immediately clear that they belong to the BMW Motorrad GS family.

In the Rallye style and racing blue metallic color, the BMW F850 GS features hand-protector bars and black fixed fork tubes that accentuate the sporty character.

Gold edges and galvanized radiator coil enhance its luxury feel. The new BMW F 850 GS Adventure in Rally Style and Kalamata Metallic Matte Paintwork symbolizes sporty talent and a sense of adventure.

As before, the powerful, liquid-cooled 4-valve, 2-cylinder, 853cc engine with fuel injection and six-speed gearbox ensures sporty performance in both models. BMW claims that thanks to the two counter-balance shafts, it delivers a smooth, abrupt response combined with impressive pulling power and low fuel consumption.

The power unit in the F 850 GS and F 850 GS Adventure‌ produces 95Np at 8,250rpm and 92Nm at 6,250rpm.

Both motorcycles offer connectivity with a 6.5-inch full-color TFT display. BMW Motorrad integrates operation via multi-controller, which gives the rider quick access to vehicle and connectivity functions, including navigation.

You can use the phone and media functions without having to install the app. The rider can easily make telephone calls and enjoy listening to music with a bluetooth connection.

F 900 XR

BMW has also released the Adventure Sports Tourer F900 XR as a fully built-in unit (CBU). BMW has announced that deliveries to Indian buyers will begin in June 2022.

The design of the F900 XR reflects pure performance and the promise of long-distance travel comfort with an active but relaxing riding position.

The precise edges along with the light guides and firing of the LED headlight define the bike’s aggressive design, while the slim and short tail convey its athletic nature. The new BMW F900 XR is supplied with a water-cooled, in-line 2-cylinder, 895 cc engine with four valves per cylinder, two overhead camshafts and dry-sump lubrication.

The unit is BS6 emitting and delivers 105hp output at 8,500rpm and a maximum of 92Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. The motorcycle can run from 0 to 100kmph in just 3.6 seconds and reach a top speed of over 200 kmph.

According to BMW, the new standard features of the 2022 BMW F900 XR Pro profile now include the dynamic ESA, keyless ride and center stand as part of the comfort package.

The Dynamic package includes Headlight Pro, Daytime Riding Lights and Gear Shift Assist Pro. The Active package includes Riding Modes Pro, Dynamic Engine Brake Control (MSR), Heated Grips, Dynamic Traction Control, ABS Pro and Caseholder.

Furthermore, adaptive cornering lights enhance the brightness of the road while cornering for safer riding at night.
