According to the KPMG-Scalar Placement Assessment report, Indian software engineers have been raising their salaries by an average of 126 per cent in the last three years after taking upskilling courses.

The report considers data from 2087 graduates. Scalar trainees average salary ₹ 21.6 LPA, median salary ₹ 17.5 LPA and placement rate 93.5 percent. The highest domestic salary achieved by Scalar Learners is 3.03 crore. The average salary for trainees with 6-10 years of work experience was ₹ 31.9 lakh, while trainees with more than 10 years of experience received an average of ₹ 57.1 lakh for packages.

KPMG Assessment Report surveys practitioners on their post-placement performance in the companies they join. The average increase in salaries received after joining a new company was 67.8 per cent, while 31.8 per cent of alumni were promoted to the job they had joined in the post-scale. By comparison, the average increase in IT jobs in 2021 is 11.2 percent (according to a survey of salary increases by the global professional services firm Aon).

The KPMG Scalar report highlights the industries that have experienced the maximum impact with this boom in skill enhancement. And Consumer Tech, which employs 14.1% of technology solutions, 13.9% of financial technologies, 13.7% of e-commerce & retail and 8.2% of skilled professionals.
