Bill Skarsgard and FKA Twigs Talk Filming ‘The Crow’ Reboot

With a resume that includes the He franchise, Roche Castle And BarbarousBill Skarsgard has veered into familiar territory with a title role in the latest incarnation of The Raven. But hey, he likes black.

“The physical aspect wasn’t really an issue, but the mental state wears on you a little bit because you’re living there for four months, you know?” Skarsgard said. The Hollywood Reporter Tuesday night at the Lionsgate film’s world premiere at New York’s Village East, Angelika said. “I had a great shoot, a lot of night shoots. … You’re kind of preoccupied in a dark state of mind for a while. I like to be absorbed in that when I’m doing it. We were actually working out a lot, I found that really helpful. There’s nothing like being tired and sweaty to get the demons out.”

For filmmaker Rupert Standers, Skarsgard plays Eric Draven, who is murdered alongside his girlfriend Shelly, played by singer-songwriter FKA Twigs in her second film role.
