Australian police called to save boy from claw machine

Australian police had to come to the aid of a young boy stuck in a claw machine on Saturday at a shopping center in Capalaba, a suburb of Brisbane. Video of the incident published on social networks by the Queensland Police Department shows the three-year-old, identified by police only as Ethan, sitting among stuffed animals after crawling through the machine’s dispenser.

Police said Ethan went upstairs “looking for the ultimate prize” but was unable to get out.

Family members asked Ethan to move to the far corner of the machine and cover his eyes while officers broke the glass to free the adventurous youngster, who appeared calm during the ordeal.

Upon his return to the outside world, Ethan was greeted with cheers from his family, as well as an award from a police officer who told him, “You’ve won a prize!” Which one do you want ?

Ethan’s ordeal is not new. American children – from North Carolina has Tennessee has Florida – have all found themselves stuck in claw machines in recent years.
