Ariana Grande Talks Paparazzi Flying Over Set in Hang Gliders

Ariana Grande and Jonathan Bailey recall shocking moment paparazzi used gliders to fly over the Wicked together A day.

The two stars, who play Glinda and Fiyero respectively, opened up in a conversation for Man V review about the paparazzi’s extensive efforts to leak photos and videos from the set of the Jon M. Chu-directed film.

“I think we were very lucky to have done this with him. [Chu]“It was like a little secret college thing, it’s intimate,” Grande said. “It was so small and private until all of a sudden, we were outside, and the Daily Mail he was sliding his hand across our set — oh, he should play the pterodactyl in your movie [Jurassic World 4].”

“It was a man on a huge kite, floating with his legs dangling,” added Bailey, who is set to start in the next Jurassic World movie with Scarlett Johansson. “With a GoPro. With a GoPro on my toes.”

Grande admitted she couldn’t believe her eyes during the performance, adding, “First of all, because I don’t have the best eyes. Secondly, because it’s impossible. It’s impossible! I was like, ‘Ah, a guy on a glider.'”

Wickedbased on the hit Broadway musical of the same name, follows Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo), a young woman misunderstood because of her green skin, as she forms an unlikely but deep friendship with Glinda, a college student with an unwavering desire for popularity. Part 1 is set to hit theaters on November 22, 2024, with Part 2 set to hit theaters on November 26, 2025.

When Grande asked Bailey about her experience filming the highly anticipated movie, the The Bridgerton Chronicle The star said: “There were certain elements that I was incredibly impressed with and I think it was down to the love and care of Marc Platt and Jon Chu.”

“We grew up loving theater and musicals, and I was always attached to that sense of wonder,” he continued. “I think I thought that somehow when you’re making a movie, you lose that. But we were on these incredible sets.”
