Andy Cohen regrets his jokes about Kate Middleton after her surgery

Andy Cohen is the most recent celebrity to respond to his comments regarding Kate Middleton while she was recovering from abdominal surgery.

THE Watch what’s happening live the host returned to his SiriusXM show, Radio Andyafter a week off the air and made it a point to respond to his jokes about Middleton before revealing that she had been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy.

Among other comments made on Instagram, Cohen wrote on X, formerly Twitter, that a photo of Kate posted by the Prince and Princess of Wales’ Instagram account was fake. “It’s not Kate…” his message read.

“I just want to say that I am heartbroken by the news about Princess Kate.” Cohen said on Monday’s episode. “And I think someone on Sky News called me ‘idiot’ during this whole conversation, and they were right.”

He continued: “I wish I had kept my mouth shut and we all pray for Princess Kate and King Charles. And so, I just had to say it up front. This is the first opportunity to get back in front of a live mic.

The late-night host is one of several celebrities who took to social media following the news of Middleton’s cancer diagnosis to express regret for fueling conspiracy theories surrounding the disappearance of the princess in the public eye.

The viral conspiracies began shortly after the palace announced that Middleton was released from the hospital following an unspecified abdominal operation in January.
