Alexis Sanchez openly backs Arsenal ahead of Manchester United clash: Watch
Before the decisive meeting, the Gunners already have a big name on their side, who will encourage the North London club, namely Alexis Sanchez.
Chilean striker Alexis Sanchez joined Arsenal in 2014 and spent three and a half seasons at the Emirates. Sanchez was an Arsenal fan idol but then moved unceremoniously and rather preposterously to Manchester United in January 2018. Sanchez was part of a deal that saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan come to Arsenal on a transfer direct exchange.

Although Sanchez made a glamorous arrival at Manchester United, his career has only gone downhill ever since. He had a torrid time at Old Trafford as the player scored 5 goals in 45 appearances for the Red Devils during his year and a half stay in the North West of England.
He spent time with Inter Milan and has now found his home with Marseille in France. But ahead of Sunday’s monumental clash, Sanchez wrote a heartfelt message in an Arsenal Instagram post.
Arsenal, via their official Instagram account, released a video of Sanchez scoring a goal against Manchester United during his Arsenal days. And the 34-year-old wrote a nice message in the comments section.
“You remembered me 😅. I will never forget you either. You will always be in my heart, you were my first family in England, and everyone took good care of me, especially the fans! the best gunners!!” Sanchez wrote.
Sanchez scored 80 goals for the Gunners in all competitions in his 166 appearances. He won the FA Cup and the Community Shield twice during his spell. He was also the goalscorer in the two FA Cup finals the north London club won during his time at the Emirates.
