Aaron Taylor-Johnson teams up with his Outlaw King director David Mackenzie on Rocketa new crime thriller from the Oscar-nominated film Against all odds director.
The plot of Rocket revolves around the discovery of an unexploded World War II bomb at a London construction site, which triggers a mass evacuation as bomb disposal experts descend to defuse it. But this distraction also provides the perfect cover for a bank robbery.
The European production group Anton produces, finances and sells Rocket and will launch pre-sales for the project at the European Film Market in Berlin next week. UTA Independent Film Group and WME Independent will co-represent U.S. rights with Anton.
Gillian Berrie (Outlaw King, Tetris) will produce Rocket through him and with Sigma Films, Mackenzie’s production company, with Sébastien Raybaud and Callum Grant for Anton. Against all odds cinematographer Giles Nuttgens will film the film. Mackenzie will direct from an original screenplay by Ben Hopkins.
