70 year old mother harassed by sons killed her life by train, younger held elder brother responsible
Kaushambi: An elderly woman committed suicide after being hit by a train in Uttar Pradesh’s Kaushambi on Tuesday. It is alleged that the woman committed suicide after being fed up with the harassment of her two sons. At the same time, the younger son has demanded action from the police, holding his elder brother responsible for the mother’s suicide. police is investigating the case. This incident is of Basti Talab village of Kotwali area. Suresh Prasad Yadav, a resident of Beroucha Majra Basti pond, died 17 years ago due to illness. After the death of her husband, Lakshmi Devi worked hard and brought up both sons Baijnath and Surendra. Laxmi’s body was found on the train tracks near Manouri railway station. The younger son Surendra Yadav has blamed the elder brother Baijnath for his mother’s death. Surendra told the police, after the death of his father, 70-year-old mother Lakshmi Devi used to live with the elder brother. Elder brother Baijnath tortured him and forced him to face death.
According to local villagers, Baijnath and Surendra are extremely poor. Both were unable to take care of their old mother. Every day both the brothers used to argue with their mother about one or the other thing. After the death of her husband, the survival of old Lakshmi was made difficult by the sons. The Kotwali police has started investigation after taking a complaint about the case. Inspector Kaushambi told that action will be taken after investigation.
